1 <br />McGuire Hector <br />2,535 Labor Equipment <br />3,110.00 Job complete <br />Councilman Abrott's estimate for efficient Ponds cost includes pipe crossing <br />under R.H. Pipe Labor etc approx $19,000.00. For the same land, if approved <br />by Pollution Control Board, to arrange and construct into irrigation land 17 cost <br />of construction approx. $11,000.00. <br />Councilman Abrott received from Joe Myers of Livermore an estimate of 1,86/.00 <br />to level the land with checks for irrigation purposes. <br />MAYOR OXSEN: Read applications for Police Officer for replacement while Officer <br />Donovan is on sick leave. <br />First Applicant: Joseph W._ ":McCloud <br />Second Applicant: Wm. Deerfield Mr. Deerfield was not interested in tempor= <br />ary employment. <br />THE COUNCIL discussed the applications and stated that they would make further in <br />mestigatiaons of said applicants, then make an appointment .within a few days if sat- <br />isfactory. <br />MAYOR 0XSEN: stated that the subject of raises would again have to be studied. <br />Suggested that the Council work out a wage adjustment scale and make a report of <br />same within a couple weeks. <br />C� <br />FIRE CHIEF AMARAL: stated that the Fire Insurance rate had dropped again in Pleas- <br />anton due to the equipment recently added to the Department as requested by the <br />Fire Underwriters. <br />CIVIL DEFENSE COORDINATOR Earl Trimingham was called upon by the Council. Mr. Trim <br />ingham had no report but asked the Council if a Signal System had been agreed upon <br />in case of Disaster and suggested that until the State wide signal was agreeded <br />upon, that Pleasanton return to the World War 11 signal. <br />MAYOR OXSEN informed Mr. Trimingham that new switches are to be installed, that the <br />Siren's may be operated manually at the Fire House or Police Station, as during <br />W.W. 11 ant that, the Council was in agreement with his suggestion:- <br />1 <br />CITY ATTORNEY. ALE: Informed the Council that three certified copies of Resolutions <br />No.'s 2126 and 2127 were forwarded to the Federal Housing Authority, accomponied <br />by a legal opinion of the City Attorney. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2130 "Bond Interest" was adapted on motion of Councilman Trimingham, <br />seconded by Councilman Hansen and approved by all Councilmen present. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2129 authorizing payment of salaries the amount of $2,675.70 <br />for the month of December was adopted on motion of Councilman Hansen, ama seconded <br />by Councilman Trimingham and approved by all Councilmen present. <br />THERE BEING no further business to come before the Council, the meeting was adjourn- <br />ed at 10 :45 P.M. to meet again in regular adjourned session December 18, 1950 <br />Public Hearing as published December 18, 1950, at 7:30 P.M. <br />Mayor <br />25 <br />
