ACTION. ON COMMUNICATIONS: <br />Mayor Oxsen named as, representative member to the Executive Committee of the <br />East.Bay Division; League of Caiif. Cities. <br />The Council moved to enter formal protest against discontinuing Railway Ex- <br />preps .pick -up and Delivery service. <br />THE CLERK was ordered by the Council, to pay the sum of %58.50 for premium, on <br />Title,Policy ($6600.00) to the Oakland Title Insurance Guaranty Company. And <br />request a receipt in triplicate, for filing purposes with the5tate., <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2121 on motion of Councilman Hansen, seconded by Councilman <br />Trimingham and approved by all Councilmen was adopted making the Town of <br />Pleasanton a member of the Joint .Cities &County Planning Board of Alameda County. <br />The Clerk was instructed to forward „two.certified popies of Resolution No. 2121 <br />t;o NSr. Chamberlain,, Sec. pro. ,tem. of the District'dttorney's Office., <br />NOA,CTION was taken in <br />THERE BEING no further <br />adjourned at 9:45 P.M. <br />7:34.P.M. <br />regards to the requested raise of two Police Officer's. <br />business to come before the Council, the was <br />to,meet again in regular session November 6, 1950 at <br />The Council of the Town of'Pleasanton met in regular session at 7:30 P.M. <br />on the above date with Mayor Oxsen in the chair. Roll call showed: Councilmen <br />Hansen and Trimingham present. <br />Absent Councilman Hewitson. d:,u a ILLY 5 <br />MINUTES of the meeting of October 2 -nd. were read and approved as read. <br />MAYOR OXSEN.stated that before proceeding with the regular order of business, <br />that a Councilman would have to be °appointed to replace Councilman Toney. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2123 accepting the resignation of Buford Toney from the office of <br />Councilman and appointing Arnold Abrott to fill the, unexpired term was adopted on <br />motion of Councilman Trimingham, seconded by Councilman Hansen and approved by all <br />Councilman present. <br />MR. ABROTT was duly sworn to the office of City Councilman by City Attorney Wm. <br />Gale. <br />MAYOR OXSEN welcomed. Councilman Abrott to the Council, stating that he 'Was the un- <br />animous choice of the Board. <br />MAYOR OXSEN before proceeding with "the regular business, called on Otho Keefe, in <br />regards to repair of the Police car. Which was wrecked November 3-rd. <br />MR. KEEFE reported to the Council, °the Insurance Co. required two bids for Police <br />car repair and that he had received same: <br />John Edgren Son's Bid 779.00 <br />Johnson Neilson Garage Bid 776.00 <br />and stated that the Company would let the Council accept the bid they preferred <br />MAYOR OXSEN: <br />Following a discussion of trading or repairing the Police car; asked the pleas- <br />ure of the Council; Councilman Trimingham moved to repair the Police car and award <br />the work to ,John Edgren Son's of Pleasanton the motion was seconded by Council <br />inan'Hansen and approved by all Councilmen present. <br />CLAIMS NO:''S 116 152 incl. amounting $3,143.49 were presented and referred to <br />the Finance Committee. <br />Pleasanton,_ California <br />November 6.; 1950 <br />tt <br />17 <br />
