ACTION. ON COMMUNICATIONS: Mayor Oxsen named as, representative member to the Executive Committee of the East.Bay Division; League of Caiif. Cities. The Council moved to enter formal protest against discontinuing Railway Ex- preps .pick -up and Delivery service. THE CLERK was ordered by the Council, to pay the sum of %58.50 for premium, on Title,Policy ($6600.00) to the Oakland Title Insurance Guaranty Company. And request a receipt in triplicate, for filing purposes with the5tate., RESOLUTION NO. 2121 on motion of Councilman Hansen, seconded by Councilman Trimingham and approved by all Councilmen was adopted making the Town of Pleasanton a member of the Joint .Cities &County Planning Board of Alameda County. MAYOR OXSEN.stated that before proceeding with the regular order of business, that a Councilman would have to be °appointed to replace Councilman Toney. RESOLUTION NO. 2123 accepting the resignation of Buford Toney from the office of Councilman and appointing Arnold Abrott to fill the, unexpired term was adopted on motion of Councilman Trimingham, seconded by Councilman Hansen and approved by all Councilman present. MR. ABROTT was duly sworn to the office of City Councilman by City Attorney Wm. Gale. MAYOR OXSEN welcomed. Councilman Abrott to the Council, stating that he 'Was the un- animous choice of the Board. MAYOR OXSEN before proceeding with "the regular business, called on Otho Keefe, in regards to repair of the Police car. Which was wrecked November 3-rd. MR. KEEFE reported to the Council, °the Insurance Co. required two bids for Police car repair and that he had received same: John Edgren Son's Bid 779.00 Johnson Neilson Garage Bid 776.00 and stated that the Company would let the Council accept the bid they preferred MAYOR OXSEN: Following a discussion of trading or repairing the Police car; asked the pleas- ure of the Council; Councilman Trimingham moved to repair the Police car and award the work to ,John Edgren Son's of Pleasanton the motion was seconded by Council inan'Hansen and approved by all Councilmen present.
