WHe application of the American Legion for p ;rmission to conduct a social dance in the <br />Foresters' Hall on the night of November 8th was taken up, and there being no objection, <br />to clerk eas instructed to issue the neceissary permit. <br />Ordinance No. 139, entitled "An Ordinance Amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 115, <br />Whicj Said Ordinance No. 115 is an Amendment to Section 11 of Ordinance No. '85", was given <br />its first reading by the clerk, and laid on the table for two weeks. <br />There being no further business the Board adjourned until 7;3o o'clock p. m. on <br />Octoberv20, 1924. <br />Approved <br />President of Board of Town Trustees. <br />The Board of Trustees of the Town of Pleasanton met this date at the hour od 7;30 <br />o'cicok p. m., with. President Charles A. Bruce in the chair. <br />The roll All showed Trustees Garatti, Bairos and Bruce to be present. Trustees <br />Pickard and Orloff were noted as absent., <br />The clerk then proceeded'to give the second reading to Ordinance No. 139 entitled <br />"An Ordinance A mending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 115, which said Ordinance No. 115, <br />is an amendment to Section 11 of Ordinance No. 85. <br />The Board of Trustees of the Town of Pleasanton do ordain as follows: <br />section 1.-- Section 1 of Ordinance No. 115, amending Section 2 of Ordinance No; 112, <br />amending section 1 f Ordinance No. 105, which is an amendment to section 12 of•Ordinance <br />85 of the Town of Peasanton, is hereby amended to read as' follows: <br />The payment of the sum of $1.50 (per month prescribed in section'll hereof, shall <br />entitle the property owner, if connected to a meter, to 7500 gallons of water for use <br />during said month, and for each and every loos gallons of water or fraction thereof over <br />and above the said 7500 gallons used by each service provided in this ordinance under <br />section 1 hereof during anyone month, the property owner shall pay to the Town of Pleasanton <br />thereofr according to the following rates and terms: <br />10¢ per l000 for each and every 1000 gallons, or fraction thereof, over and 'above <br />the first 7500 gallons: <br />Section 2 -This ordinance shall be published in The Pleasanton Times, and shall take <br />effect on the first day of November, 1924, and the water rate herein'specified to take <br />effect shall become due and paybble on the first day of November, 1924. <br />Instroduced by Trustees orloff and passed to the'judiciary committee, reported back <br />and passed this loth day of October, 1924 by the following vite: <br />Ayes; Trustee Bairos, Garatti and Bruce. <br />Noes; None. <br />Absent; Trustees Pickard and Orloff. <br />Complaint having been made concerning the lack'of safety said to exist at the Lincoln <br />Theatre in this city, the clerk was instructed to take the matter up with the iitate safety <br />commission. <br />There being no further busines the board adjourned until the next regular meeting to <br />be held on the night of November turd, <br />Approved <br />President of Board of Tru-•tees <br />Town Clerk <br />Pleasanton, California, October 20, 1924. <br />Town Clerk. <br />6103' <br />
