shall at all times during business hours be subject to <br /> inspection by the health officer and by the police <br /> department and shall be kept on file for one year." <br /> <br />Section 12: Section 6.24.250 PMC is amended in its entirety to <br /> read as follows: <br /> <br /> "6.24.250 Inspection of premises. <br /> <br /> The police department and the health officer shall, <br /> from time to time, make an inspection of each massage <br /> establishment or home therapy massage in the city for <br /> the purpose of determining compliance with the <br /> provisions of this chapter." <br /> <br />Section 13: Section 6.24.280 PMC is amended in its entirety to <br /> read as follows: <br /> <br /> "6.24.280 Responsibility of employer. <br /> <br /> It shall be the responsibility of the holder of the <br /> permit for the massage establishment or home therapy <br /> massage or the employer of any such persons purporting <br /> to act as massage technicians, to insure that such <br /> person employed as a massage technician shall first have <br /> obtained a valid permit pursuant to this chapter." <br /> <br />Section 14: Section 6.24.290 PMC is amended in its entirety to <br /> read as follows: <br /> <br /> "6.24.290 Applicability to existing business. <br /> <br /> The provisions of this chapter shall be applicable <br /> to persons now engaged in the business regulated in this <br /> chapter. Existing businesses of the kind in this <br /> chapter referred to shall conform with all provisions of <br /> this chapter, except that persons applying for a license <br /> may substitute two years' experience in the operation of <br /> a massage establishment or home therapy massage for the <br /> requirement of a diploma or certificate of graduation <br /> from a state-approved school wherein the method and work <br /> of massage is taught. Massage technician applicants may <br /> substitute one year's experience for the same <br /> requirement." <br /> <br />Section 15: This ordinance shall be published once within <br /> fifteen (15) days after its adoption in "The Valley <br /> Times," a newspaper of general circulation published in <br /> the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 16: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days <br /> after the date of its final passage and adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City <br />of Pleasanton on October 7, 1986. <br /> <br /> <br />
