CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1272 <br /> <br /> APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF CITY OF PLEASANTON FOR <br /> REZONING AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL TO CONSTRUCT A <br /> 220 UNIT SENIOR CITIZENS RESIDENTIAL COMPLEX TO BE <br /> LOCATED ON AN APPROXIMATELY 90.2 ACRE SITE (PUD-86-9) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton applied for rezoning and <br /> development plan approval for the construction of a 220 <br /> unit senior citizens residential complex; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study, a negative <br /> declaration was adopted byCouncil on August 19, 1986; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendation for approval of the rezoning and <br /> development plan; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on August 19, <br /> 1986; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this rezoning and <br /> development plan is consistent with the General Plan <br /> policies of the City of Pleasanton; <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the rezoning of an approximately 9.2 acre <br /> site located generally in the area west of the railroad <br /> tracks of the Southern Pacific Transportation Company at <br /> the southern terminus of Old Bernal Avenue from "A" <br /> (Agricultural) and "CS" (Commercial Service) to "PUD <br /> (Planned Unit Development)-High Density Residential" <br /> District, subject to the following conditions: <br /> <br /> 1. That the development be substantially as shown on <br /> the plans, Exhibit A, on file with the Planning <br /> Department, except: <br /> <br /> a. The landscape plan shall be revised to <br /> incorporate the following changes: i) the <br /> minimum width of the landscape strip between <br /> the parking stalls and property line shall be <br /> 3 ft.; ii) Different tree species shall be <br /> proposed for the street frontage; iii) <br /> additional shrubs shall be planted around the <br /> cottages; ix) a hedge shall be planted around <br /> the south community garden. <br /> <br /> <br />
