appointed shall serve a term of one year. The Board shall <br />elect a chairman. The Chief Building Official or his <br />representative shall be an ex officio member of said Board <br />and shall serve as secretary. The Board shall adopt <br />reasonable roles and regulations for conducting its <br />business. Any board of appeals appointed by the City <br />Council under the provisions of any other ordinance may <br />act as the Board of Appeals provided for in this Chapter <br />when so directed by resolution of the City Council. <br /> <br />Section 20.16.090 Notification: <br /> <br />A notice given by the Board of Appeals shall be served <br />personally or be sent by registered or certified mail, postage <br />prepaid, return receipt requested, to the person owning the <br />land on which the building or structure is located, as such <br />person's name and address appear on the last equalized <br />assessment roll, and to a mortgagee or beneficiary under <br />any deed of trust of record, at the last known address of <br />such mortgagee or beneficiary; provided, that if the <br />whereabouts of such persons are unknown and the same <br />cannot be ascertained by the Chief Building Official in the <br />exercise of reasonable diligence and the Chief Building <br />Official shall make an affidavit to that effect, then said <br />notice shall be served by publishing same once each week <br />for two (2) consecutive weeks in a newspaper published in <br />the City and by posting said notice on the property prior to <br />the date of first publication. Such notice shall contain, <br />among other things, the following information: <br />A. Name of owner or other persons interested, as provided <br />in this Section; <br />B. Street address and legal description of the property on <br />which such a building or structure is located; <br />C. A general description of the matter which is being <br />appealed; <br />D. The owner's right of appeal to the City Council." <br /> <br />Section 5. Chapter 20.20 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, as amended, is <br />hereby further amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"20.20.010 National Electrical Code and Uniform Administrative Code <br /> <br />Provisions for the National Electrical Code adopted. <br /> <br />55 <br /> <br /> <br />
