B. Said Code is the California Building Standards <br />Code 2001 Edition, (24 C.C.R.), and including by <br />reference the Uniform Mechanical Code, 2000 <br />Edition, and appendix Chapters A, B, C and D, <br />published by the International Association of <br />Plumbing and Mechanical Officials. One (1) copy <br />of this Code is on file with the City Clerk for use by <br />the public. <br /> <br />C. Where there is a reference in the Code to the <br />"Administrative Authority" it shall mean the "Chief <br />Building Official" or in the absence of the Chief, <br />the Interim, Temporary or Acting Chief Building <br />Official. <br /> <br />Section 20.16.014 Section 114.4 Amended - Expiration <br /> <br />Section 114.4 of the California Building Standards Code 2001 <br /> Edition (24 C.C.R.), and including by reference the <br /> Uniform Mechanical Code is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> 114.4 Expiration. <br />Every permit issued by the building official under the <br />provisions of the uniform codes as adopted in this <br />article shall expire by limitation and become null and <br />void if one or more of the following conditions <br />occur: <br /> 1. The work authorized by such permit is not <br /> commenced within 180 days from the date of <br /> issuance of such permit; or <br /> 2. The work authorized by such permit is <br /> suspended or abandoned for 180 days at any <br /> time after such work has commenced; or <br /> 3. 1 $0 days has elapsed since the most recent approval <br /> for an inspection has been given by the Building <br /> Official. <br />If the permit has expired, before such work can be <br />recormmenced, a new permit shall be first obtained to do so, <br />and the fee therefore shall be one half the amount required <br />for a new permit for such work, provided no changes have <br />been made or will be made in the original plans and <br />specifications for such work, and provided further that such <br />suspension or abandonment has not exceeded one year.
