Regardless of the classification rating, wood product roof <br />coveting materials shall not be permitted or installed in the <br />City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Exception. Existing Group R Division 3, and Group U <br />Division 1, structures with wood product roofs may be <br />reroofed with wood product coverings under the following <br />conditions: <br /> <br />1. When the reroofing material applied is pressure fire <br />treated. Fire treated material must be in accordance with <br />approved national standards; and <br /> <br />2. The reroofing is installed as a Class B assembly as <br />defined by Uniform Building Standard 15-2. <br /> <br />Hazard Areas shall be defined as those areas beyond five <br />(5) minutes driving time of fire apparatus from the fire <br />station serving those particular districts or areas determined <br />by the Fire Chief to be either high hazard areas or extreme <br />hazard areas based on steepness of slope and/or fuel <br />loadings from combustible plant materials as set forth in <br />the Safety Element of the General Plan. <br /> <br />Section 20.08.053 Section 1806.1 Amended - Footings: <br /> <br />Section 1806.1 Footings of the Califomia Building Standards Code 2001 <br /> Edition (24 CCR), and including by reference the Uniform Building <br /> Code, 1997 Edition, is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />General. Footings and foundations shall be constructed of <br />masonry, concrete or treated wood in conformance with <br />Division II and shall extend below the frost line. Footings <br />of concrete and masonry shall be of solid material. <br />Foundations supporting wood shall extend at least 6 inches <br />(152 mm) above the adjacent finish grade. Footings shall <br />have a minimum depth as indicated in Table 18-I-C unless <br />another depth is recommended by a foundation <br />investigation. A minimum of one top and one bottom <br />continuous bars of 1/2" diameter reinfoming steel shall be <br />required in all continuous concrete or masonry bearing <br />foundations. <br /> <br />33 <br /> <br /> <br />
