20.08.044 Section 1701.5 Item 5.2 Amended - Special Moment-Resisting Steel Frames Section 1701.5 item 5.2 of the California Building Standards Code 2001 edition (24 CCR), and including by reference the uniform building code, 1997 edition, is amended to read as follows: 5.2 Special momem-resisting steel. In Seismic Zones 3 and 4, and in buildings in Seismic Zone No. 2 with an importance factor I greater than 1.0, welded joints in Special, Ordinary and Special Truss Moment Frames; in Special and Ordinary Concentrically Braced Frames, and in Eccentrically Braced Frames that are part of the Lateral Force Resisting System shall be inspected in accordance with AISC Seismic Part I Section 16. In addition to Item 5.1 requirements, nondestructive testing shall be as required by Section 1703 of this code. Section 20.08.045 Section 904.1.2 Amended Standards Fire Extinguishing Systems: Section 904.1.2 of the Califomia Building Standards Code, 2001 Edition (24 CCR), and including by reference the Uniform Building Code, 1997 Edition, is amended to mad as follows: Standards.
