Commissioner Fox inquired whether the approval of the Minutes could be continued <br />to later in the meeting in order to allow Commissioner O’Connor to provide his <br />comments. <br />Mr. Dolan stated that he was not sure whether Commissioner O’Connor would be in <br />attendance and noted that if the Planning Commission did not act on the Minutes <br />tonight, it would preclude the City Council from having the final Minutes for PMCC-2. <br />Chair Pearce indicated that the approval of the February 25, 2009 Minutes would be <br />deferred to the end of the meeting. <br />b. March 11, 2009 <br />Commissioner Olson requested that the second sentence of the fourth paragraph be <br />modified to read as follows: “He noted that it appearsappeared to him that the <br />Commission’s legal history isconsideration of Measures PP and QQ was like trying <br />to find outdeterminewhat the framers meant when they wrote the Constitution.” <br />Chair Pearce indicated that the approval of the March 11, 2009 Minutes would be <br />deferred to the end of the meeting. <br />3. MEETING OPEN FOR ANY MEMBER OF THE AUDIENCE TO ADDRESS <br />THE PLANNING COMMISSION ON ANY ITEM WHICH IS NOT ALREADY <br />ON THE AGENDA <br />There were no speakers. <br />4. REVISIONS AND OMISSIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Commissioner Narum requested that Item 6.a., UP-77-13, City of Pleasanton be <br />continued and have staff work with members of the Lodge and the neighbors to <br />clarify Condition No. 1 regarding what the City’s permitted non-Lodge versus Lodge <br />uses were. She voiced concern that the condition was narrowed down and its <br />intention was not clear. She added that while this condition was being reviewed, <br />members of the Lodge could initiate the sound study. <br />Commissioner Fox supported the continuance and stated that she had previously <br />sent comments to staff requesting that it review the land use Conditional Use <br />Permit (CUP) and make a list of Lodge-sponsored and non-Lodge-sponsored <br />activities and conditions. She further requested that, if the item were continued, staff <br />consider that St. Clare’s Episcopal Church, as a state-licensed child care center, <br />needs the parking lot and that activities in the parking lot must conform to <br />requirements. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES, March 25, 2009 Page 2 of 27 <br /> <br />
