Commissioner Olson noted that on Pamela Hardy’s comments, the fourth sentence of the <br />third paragraph on page 1 should be modified to read as follows: “…towards the <br />Citywide housing population cap.” <br /> <br />Commissioner Olsen moved to approve the minutes of March 19, 2008, as <br />presented, incorporating the amendment comments submitted by Pamela Hardy. <br />Chair Blank seconded the motion. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL VOTE: <br /> <br />AYES: Commissioners Blank, O’Connor, and Olsen. <br />NOES: None. <br />ABSTAIN: Commissioners Fox, Narum, and Pearce. <br />RECUSED: None. <br />ABSENT: None. <br /> <br />The motion passed. <br /> <br />b. June 11, 2008. <br /> <br />Ms. Decker noted that additional corrections to the minutes had been submitted by <br />Sunrise. Staff will revisit those particular corrections by referring to the audio recording <br />of that meeting. <br /> <br />Commissioner Narum noted that the fourth paragraph on page 5 states that Mr. Dolan <br />described the process to find significant conformity, and the next two paragraphs discuss <br />Chair Blank’s and Commissioner’s Fox’s comments on mediation. Commissioner <br />Narum noted that there is no mention of how the concept of mediation came forward and <br />added that Mr. Dolan’s proposal on mediation should be included in the minutes. <br /> <br />Commissioner Narum noted that the first sentence of the third full paragraph on page 11 <br />should be modified to read as follows: “Mr. Gray replied that it was definitely not a <br />skilled nursing facility and that it would not look like an institution physically.” <br /> <br />Commissioner Olson requested that the last sentence of the first paragraph on page 19 be <br />modified to read as follows: “He noted that it seemed possible that if the building were <br />ultimately to become a three-story design could be put on the property such that the third <br />story would be, a step design should be used so that part of the third story could be put up <br />against Foothill Road and away from the other road. cars could be run under part of the <br />facility Entry to and exit from the property could occur from Foothill Road and actually <br />go under part of the building to get into the main part of the property.” <br /> <br />Commissioner Fox requested that the following sentence be added before the first full <br />sentence of the first paragraph on page 8 as follows: “She expressed concern that in <br />accordance with CEQA, only two to three stories, and not a four-story building was <br />approved.” <br />PLANNING COMMISSION MINUTES, June 25, 2008 Page 2 of 14 <br /> <br /> <br />
