CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1227 <br /> <br /> APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF HOPYARD PARTNERS FOR <br /> REZONING AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL TO CONSTRUCT A <br /> 7,350 SQ. FT. DAY CARE FACILITY, AN 8,000 SQ. FT. <br /> COMMERCIAL/OFFICE BUILDING AND ADDITIONAL PARKING OVER <br /> THE PLEASANTON CANAL NORTH AND EAST OF AN EXISTING <br /> SHOPPING CENTER LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF <br /> VALLEY AVENUE AND HOPYARD ROAD (HOPYARD VILLAGE) <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Hopyard Partners applied for development plan approval <br /> for construction of a 7,350 sq. ft. day care facility, <br /> an 8,000 sq. ft. commercial/office building and <br /> additional parking area (over the Pleasanton Canal) <br /> north and east of an existing shopping center located at <br /> the northeast corner of Valley avenue and Hopyard Road <br /> (Hopyard Village) and for rezoning of an approximately <br /> 6.3 acre site from the C-C (Central Commercial) to the <br /> PUD (Planned Unit Development)-Central Commercial <br /> District; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study, a negative <br /> declaration was adopted by Council on October 15, 1985; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendation for approval of the development plan and <br /> rezoning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on October 15, <br /> 1985; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council finds that this development plan and <br /> rezoning is consistent with the General Plan policies of <br /> the City of Pleasanton; <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Approves the rezoning of an approximately 6.3 acre <br /> site north and east of an existing shopping center <br /> located at the northeast corner of Valley Avenue and <br /> Hopyard Road (Hopyard Village) from the C-C (Central <br /> Commercial) District to the PUD (Planned Unit <br /> Development)-Central Commercial District. <br /> <br /> <br />
