Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Initial Study
The proposed Master Plan proposes to light trails at undercrossings. If, during implementation of the
proposed Master Plan, any trails or portions of trails were to be lit, this would be analyzed in project
specific environmental review under the California Environmental Quality Act, as warranted.
Less Than
Signi icon
Potentially Impact With Less Than
Signfcant Mitigation Signfcant No
Issues Impact Incorporated Impact Impact
2. Agriculture Resources In determining whether impacts
to agricultural resources are significant environmental effects,
lead agencies may refer to the California Agricultural Land
Evaluation and Site Assessment Model (1997) prepared by the
California Dept. of Conservation as an optional model to use in
assessing impacts on agriculture and farmland. Some of the open space trails may traverse land designated as agriculture
and grazing in the General Plan. Such trails would not be expected to conflict with any active
agricultural uses, although they may skirt around such uses. If any of the development projects resulting
from Master Plan implementation were to cross any lands in acdve agricultural use, subsequent
environmental review under the California Environmental Qualidy Ad may be required for such projects.
No Impact. The proposed pedestrian and bicycle trails resulting from Master Plan implementation are
not planned for any land under Williamson Act contract or any area in active agricultural use.
Improvements within any existing roadway rights -of -way would have no impact on agriculture.
Revised 9/4/09 9 9/4/2(E9
