THE CITY OF 5 <br /> pLEASANTONo CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> September 15, 2009 <br /> Community Development <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF A PROFESSIONAL SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH <br /> TRUEPOINT SOLUTIONS FOR THE INSTALLATION OF ACCELA <br /> AUTOMATION LAND MANAGEMENT COMPUTER SOFTWARE <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The City recently purchased Accela Automation Land Management software to manage <br /> land use and community development activities including permitting, inspections, zoning, <br /> project planning and code enforcement. Due to the scope and complexity of the <br /> software, staff determined that utilizing specialized professional services familiar with the <br /> product was the best deployment alternative. To address this service need, the City <br /> circulated a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to install the software. Three responses <br /> were received and after reviewing them, staff is recommending awarding a professional <br /> services agreement (Agreement) to TruePoint Solutions to conduct planning and <br /> installation process for Accela Automation. Fees for the project will be on a time and <br /> material basis not to exceed $224,100. Staff estimates software implementation will be <br /> completed in approximately eight months. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the Professional Services Agreement with TruePoint Solutions for a not -to- <br /> exceed amount of $224,100 (Attachment 1). <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Sources of funding for this project include $140,000 from the Information Systems <br /> Equipment Replacement Fund (046900) and $84,100 from the Capital Improvement <br /> Program Reserve (068018). <br />
