MINUTES <br /> CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> REGULAR CITY COUNCIL MEETING <br /> August 18, 2009 <br /> CALL TO ORDER <br /> Mayor Hosterman called the regular meeting to order at the hour of 7:00 p.m. Councilmember <br /> Sullivan led in the Pledge of Allegiance and provided the introductory remarks. <br /> ROLL CALL <br /> Present: Councilmembers Cook- Kallio, McGovern, Sullivan, Thorne, Mayor Hosterman <br /> Absent: None <br /> City Attorney Roush reported that the Council met in closed session on 3 items. In the existing <br /> litigation of Safe Streets Pleasanton vs. City of Pleasanton, the Council authorized staff to enter into <br /> a settlement agreement, the final details of which have yet to be determined. The Council also <br /> provided direction on existing litigation, Urban Habitat Program vs. City of Pleasanton, and a <br /> conference with a real property negotiator concerning certain property along Stanley Boulevard. <br /> AGENDA AMENDMENTS None <br /> CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> Administrative Services <br /> 1. Approved regular and special meeting minutes of July 21, 2009 <br /> City Attorney <br /> 2. Introduced and waived first reading of Ordinance No. 1993 amending Chapter 6.24 of the <br /> Municipal Code concerning massage providers to conform to new state law <br /> City Manager <br /> 3. Approved a five year extension for use of the Inclusionary Unit Credits as set forth in the <br /> Affordable Housing Agreement with Ponderosa Homes <br /> 4. Accepted analysis of Commissioner Absences for the period January 1 through June 30, 2009 <br /> Community Development <br /> 5. Accepted actions of the Zoning Administrator and Planning Commission <br /> 6. Approved plans and specifications, reviewed bids, awarded and authorized the City Manager <br /> to execute contract #09 -468C with Gallagher and Burk Inc. in the amount of $979,749 for the <br /> Overlay of Various Streets ARRA 2009, CIP No. 095014; and authorized the Director of <br /> Community Development to approve and execute change orders not to exceed $146,962 <br />
