CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1354 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING CHAPTER 9.22 (RECYCLING) OF TITLE <br /> 9 (HEALTH AND SAFETY), AND AMENDING CHAPTER 18.08 <br /> (DEFINITIONS), CHAPTER 18.20 (DESIGN REVIEW), SECTION <br /> 18.44.090 (PERMITTED AND CONDITIONAL USES - C <br /> DISTRICT8)~ SECTION 18.48,180 (CONDITIONAL USES - I-P <br /> DISTRICT), SECTION 18.48.190 (CONDITIONAL USES - I-G <br /> DISTRICT), SECTION 18.48.200 (CONDITIONAL USES - L-I <br /> DISTRICT) AND CHAPTER 18.124 (CONDITIONAL USES) OF TITLE <br /> 18 (ZONING) OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO SET OUT <br /> CONDITIONS AND PROCEDURES FOR PERMITTING RECYCLING <br /> FACILITIES IN THE COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL ZONING <br /> DISTRICTS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to make redemption and <br /> recycling of reusable materials convenient to the <br /> consumer in order to reduce litter and increase the <br /> recycling of reusable materials; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council desires to encourage the provision of <br /> recycling services by adopting a comprehensive and <br /> easily understood program of regulating such uses; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the amendments recommended by this Ordinance are found <br /> by the City Council to be necessary to provide for <br /> implementation within the areas of the City of <br /> Pleasanton of the California Beverage Container <br /> Recycling and Litter Reduction Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council received the Planning Commission's <br /> recommendation for approval of the rezoning; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a duly noticed public hearing was held on February 2, <br /> 1988; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES <br />HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Title 9 (Health and Safety) of the Municipal Code of <br /> the City of Pleasanton is hereby amendea to incluae as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> - 1 - <br /> <br /> <br />
