Exhibit A, Page 2 <br /> Materials and Fabrication Methods <br /> The artwork shall consist of translucent tempered art glass in sealed units, insulated to the rating <br /> for Pleasanton Firehouse Arts Center. The composition of the units will be airbrushed, hand <br /> painted antique art glass laminated to base float glass, with sandblasted images on the float glass. <br /> Production of the glass shall include unit assembly. When installed, the glass units shall be <br /> stepped and silicone sealed in place as indicated in the drawing attached as Exhibit A. Alternate <br /> corner glazing system will be as identified on Glass Studio Peters' drawing (Exhibit A, Page 8.) <br /> The average dimensions of each unit shall be 36x36" with variance as indicated on the elevation <br /> drawing attached as Exhibit A, pp. 5 and 6. Total square footage of glass will be approximately <br /> 323 sq. ft. Each unit shall consist of an exterior glass layer, a''/ -inch air space and an interior glass <br /> layer; the overall unit thickness shall be 1 inch. <br /> Packaging and Unit Identification <br /> Glass Studio Peters shall arrange delivery of the fabricated units to the project site. Each unit shall <br /> be labeled in its crate, packed in order according to position in its grid and sequence of installation. <br /> The entire set of glass units will be laid out as a grid to permit Glass Studio Peters to exactly <br /> replicate each individual panel should it prove necessary in the future. <br /> Supplemental Materials <br /> Services under this contract shall include provision of the following supplemental materials. <br /> 1. Two preliminary full -size mockup sample sealed glass units, one from each marquee, <br /> fabricated from the shop drawings (see 2.A.1) for use by the City. These shall be labeled as <br /> to their designated site location on each marquee. <br /> 2. A manual for the City's public art collection management program which includes <br /> materials specifications and describes routine maintenance needs, recommendations for <br /> care, and other considerations for upkeep of the glass marquee artwork. <br /> 3. Artist to provide high resolution digital photographic images of the completed public art <br /> project in situ, including a minimum of two different detail images of each column side and <br /> two views of each column in context with the building exterior. <br />
