Exhibit A, Page 1 <br /> Description of Work <br /> Glass Studio Peters shall fabricate, based on the abstract design created by the Artist and <br /> previously approved by the City, and oversee installation in pre= existing metal tower grids on the <br /> exterior facade of the Firehouse Arts Center, two glass art marquees composed of a series of <br /> decorative glass art units. <br /> Scope of Services <br /> Glass Studio Peters shall: <br /> Fabricate all glass elements. <br /> Provide project management, logistics and communications services, including field <br /> measurement and coordination of field measurements if necessary. <br /> Inspect glass components for quality and accuracy during fabrication and when fabrication <br /> is completed. <br /> Pack, protect and secure art glass for transportation. <br /> Cover costs of packing, insurance, and ocean transport of glass, to include duties, taxes and <br /> customs clearance. <br /> Coordinate final installation schedule with General Contractor and delivery of art glass <br /> components to site. <br /> Inspect for any damage occurring during transport of art glass upon shipment arrival and <br /> address repairs or replacement of units as needed. <br /> Supervise installation; inspect for any damage occurring during installation and identify <br /> repairs or replacement as needed. <br /> Installation of the glass shall be covered in a separate contract between the City and its chosen <br /> vendor. <br /> Location <br /> The completed artwork shall consist of two columns of art glass panel units: <br /> (1) On west side of building at Railroad Avenue "Street Facing Marquee 8 panel units each on <br /> two abutting sides of column, a total of 16 units. <br /> (2) On east side of building facing Lions Wayside Park "Park Facing Marquee 11 panel units <br /> each on two abutting sides of column, a total of 22 units. <br />
