THE CITY OF 15 <br /> CITY COUNCIL AGENDA REPORT <br /> pL£ASANTON. <br /> July 21, 2009 <br /> Parks and Community Services <br /> TITLE: APPROVAL OF AN AGREEMENT FOR ARTWORK WITH PETERS <br /> GLASS STUDIO, LLC FOR THE DESIGN, FABRICATION AND <br /> DELIVERY OF ART GLASS MARQUEES FOR THE FIREHOUSE ARTS <br /> CENTER <br /> SUMMARY <br /> The recommended Agreement for Artwork with Glass Studio Peters, LLC, provides for <br /> the design, fabrication and delivery of two original glass art marquees, which will be <br /> installed at the Firehouse Arts Center. The glass marquees are being funded through a <br /> generous gift from Pleasanton residents Nancy and Gary Harrington. <br /> RECOMMENDATION <br /> Approve the Agreement for Artwork with Glass Studio Peters, LLC. <br /> FINANCIAL STATEMENT <br /> Funds to cover the cost of the project, as outlined in the contract, total $113,275, and <br /> have already been received from the Harrington's. Those funds are available in the <br /> City's public art acquisition fund for FY2009 -2010. No additional funds will be required. <br />
