D R A F T M A S T E R P L A N F O R T H E D P T S
CONCLUSIONS
The DPTS Master Plan's specific design recommendations include improvements
in the access, esthetics, and usability of each site. With a set of coordinated recom-
mendations, the City will have an increased ability to plan for future construction.
The DPTS Master Plan makes the relative size of a particular project more identifi-
able, its scope more easily defined, and its relevant issues more clearly addressed.
HIGHLIGHTS
Some highlights of the DPTS Master Plan include:
A new bandstand and audience area for Wayside Park.
Restrooms and shade trees for DeLucchi Park.
Renovations to Fire Station No. 1 to make it a multi -use public facility.
A shaded, park -like Trail Corridor, with parking to serve the downtown area,
and sites for outdoor public sculpture.
Increased civic presence for the bridge at the north entry into downtown.
A plaza at Main St Green, and increased access to the Arroyo del Valle trail.
INTRODUCTION
4
