Resolution No. 02-064 <br />Page 2 <br /> <br />Section 4: <br /> <br />Section 5: <br /> <br />Section 6: <br /> <br />No materials other than the voter's pamphlet and sample ballot shall be <br />transmitted by the City Clerk to the voters; ifa candidate wishes to send additional <br />materials to the voters, it will be at the candidate's expense and by persons other <br />than the city. <br /> <br />In case of a tie vote at the November 5, 2002 election, a special run-off election is <br />ordered, as follows: <br /> <br />The special election must be held on a Tuesday, not less than 40 days nor more <br />than 125 days after the certification of the election which resulted in the tie vote. <br />If a regular election is to be held during this time period, the special run-off <br />election will be consolidated with the regular election. <br /> <br />The ballot language for the Bemal Property Initiative shall be as follows: <br /> <br />"Shall the Bemal Property Initiative, which would (a) prohibit housing of any type <br />on the city owned land within the Bemal Specific Plan area, (b) prohibit the city <br />from selling any of the land, and (c) mandate that all uses on the city owned land <br />be accessible to the public, be adopted?" <br /> <br />YES <br /> <br />Section 7: <br />Section 8: <br />Section 9: <br /> <br /> NO <br /> <br />The deadline for submittal of Direct Arguments for the initiative measure is <br />August 16, 2002. The direct argument shall not exceed 300 words. <br /> <br />The deadline for submittal of Rebuttal Arguments for the initiative measure is <br />August 23, 2002. The rebuttal argument shall not exceed 250 words. <br /> <br />The City Attorney's impartial analysis of the measure shall be due on August 16, <br />2002. <br /> <br />Section 10: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
