CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1296 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 18.84,080 OF THE <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON TO <br /> ALLOW CERTAIN TYPE OF FENCING WITHIN THE <br /> REQUIRED FRONT YARD SETBACKS FOR LOTS IN THE <br /> R-I-20,000 ZONING DISTRICT <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Section 18.84.080 Chapter 18 of the Municipal Code <br /> of the City of Pleasanton is hereby amended to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> 18.84.080 Front yards- <br /> Requirements and exceptions. <br /> <br /> In addition to the regulations prescribed in the zoning <br /> schedule of Section 18.84,010, the following regulations <br /> shall apply: <br /> <br /> A. The minimum front yard for a garage, carport or <br /> off-street parking space required to serve a dwelling in <br /> the R-1-6,500, R-1,7,500, R-1-8,500, R-l-10,000, and RM <br /> districts shall be twenty-three feet in order to <br /> accommodate a car outside the garage, carport or parking <br /> space without encroaching upon the sidewalk, provided <br /> that where a garage or carport entered parallel to the <br /> street from which it has access, the front yard for the <br /> garage or carport may be fifteen feet. <br /> <br /> B. Where sites comprising forty percent of the frontage <br /> in an R district on a block are improved with buildings, <br /> the minimum front yard shall be the average of the <br /> minimum front yard depths for structures other than <br /> garages or carports on each developed site in the <br /> district on the block. In computing the average, a <br /> depth ten feet greater than the minimum required front <br /> yard shall be used for any site having a greater yard <br /> depth. <br /> <br /> <br />
