CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1393 <br /> <br /> AN ORDiNANCE OF THE CITY OF PT~ASANTONAMENDING <br /> SECTIONS 3.24,050, 20.16.030, 20.16.040, 20.16.050, <br /> 20.16.060, 20.16.070, 20.16.090, 20.20.030, <br /> 20.20.040, 20.20.050, 20.20.060, 20.20.070, <br /> 20.20,090, 20.36.030, 20.36,040, AND 20.40.030 OF <br /> T}IE PT~ASANTONMUNICIPAL CODE, CONCERNING THE <br /> RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BUILDING INSPECTION <br /> DEPARTMENT. <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Section 3.24.050 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code <br /> is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "3.24,050 Place of Payment <br /> <br /> The residential construction tax provided for in <br /> this Chapter shall be paid to the department of <br /> building inspection of the city and shall be <br /> transmitted thereby to the finance director of the <br /> city." <br /> <br />Section 2: Sections 20.16,030, 20.16,040, 20.16,050, <br /> 20.16,060, 20.16,070, and 20.16.090 of the <br /> Pleasanton Municipal Code are hereby amended to <br /> read as follows: <br /> <br /> "20.16.030 Enforcement. <br /> <br /> This chapter and the adopted Uniform Mechanical <br /> Code shall be enforced by the director of building <br /> inspection of the city acting either directly or <br /> through properly authorized agents acting within <br /> the scope of the particular duties delegated to <br /> them by the director of building inspection; for <br /> such purpose the director of building inspection or <br /> the agents thereof shall have the power of a <br /> police officer. <br /> <br /> 20.16.040 Interpretation. <br /> <br /> The language used in this chapter and in the <br /> adopted Uniform Mechanical Code is intended to <br /> convey the common and accepted meaning familiar to <br /> the heating, venting and comfort cooling industry <br /> to determine the intent and meaning of any <br /> <br /> -1- <br /> <br /> <br />
