CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1393 AN ORDiNANCE OF THE CITY OF PT~ASANTONAMENDING SECTIONS 3.24,050, 20.16.030, 20.16.040, 20.16.050, 20.16.060, 20.16.070, 20.16.090, 20.20.030, 20.20.040, 20.20.050, 20.20.060, 20.20.070, 20.20,090, 20.36.030, 20.36,040, AND 20.40.030 OF T}IE PT~ASANTONMUNICIPAL CODE, CONCERNING THE RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE BUILDING INSPECTION DEPARTMENT. THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: Section 1: Section 3.24.050 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "3.24,050 Place of Payment The residential construction tax provided for in this Chapter shall be paid to the department of building inspection of the city and shall be transmitted thereby to the finance director of the city." Section 2: Sections 20.16,030, 20.16,040, 20.16,050, 20.16,060, 20.16,070, and 20.16.090 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code are hereby amended to read as follows: "20.16.030 Enforcement. This chapter and the adopted Uniform Mechanical Code shall be enforced by the director of building inspection of the city acting either directly or through properly authorized agents acting within the scope of the particular duties delegated to them by the director of building inspection; for such purpose the director of building inspection or the agents thereof shall have the power of a police officer. 20.16.040 Interpretation. The language used in this chapter and in the adopted Uniform Mechanical Code is intended to convey the common and accepted meaning familiar to the heating, venting and comfort cooling industry to determine the intent and meaning of any -1-
