CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA ORDINANCE NO. 1391 APPROVING THE APPLICATION OF FRANK AUF DERMAUR FOR DEVELOPMENT PLAN APPROVAL FOR NINE PARCELS AND RELATED IMPROVEMENTS FOR SERVICE COMMERCIAL USES ON 38 ACRES LOCATED IN THEAREASOUTHOF THE INTERSECTION OF BERNAL/VATJ~Y AVENUES AND STANleY BOULEVARD (PUD-88-12) WHEREAS, Frank Auf der Maur applied for development plan approval for development of nine (9) parcels and related improvements for the second phase of the Stanley Business Park, for service commercial uses, on 38 acres located between the Bernal Avenue Extension, currently under construction, and the Phase I portion of the Stanley Business Park; and WHEREAS, based on the Initial Environmental Study, a negative declaration was adopted by Council on December 6, 1988; and WHEREAS, Council received the Planning Commission's recommendation for approval of the development plan; and WHEREAS,a duly noticed public hearing was held on December 6, 1988; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds as follows: (a) city streets feature well maintained landscaping along its local and particularly, along its arterial streets, such as Stanley Boulevard. (b) the City's General Plan has a policy of installing landscaping and other mitigation methods tO protect adjacent land uses from adverse safety, noise and air quality impacts associated with traffic on arterial streets~ such as Stanley Boulevard. (c) there is inadequate landscaping along Stanley Boulevard in phase one of the Stanley Business Park in the area between the curb of Washington Street and Stanley Boulevard. (d) the land owners of the second phase of the Stanley Business Park will derive significant benefits from the improved landscaping along Stanley Boulevard adjacent to its site.
