CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1378 <br /> <br /> AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 17.36 OF THE PT~ASANTON <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE - GROWTH MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Chapter 17.36, Growth Management Program, is <br /> amended by adding a new subsection F to Section <br /> 17.36,170 to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 17.36.170 <br /> <br /> F. Notwithstanding any other provision of this <br /> chapter, the Council may set aside growth management <br /> unit approvals for the property involved in Campbell v. <br /> Lauiqan, et al., Alameda County Superior Court Action <br /> No. 608335-5, which shall run with the land. Upon <br /> approving a zoning designation for the lands designated <br /> in this subsection, Council may then allocate the growth <br /> management approvals which have been set a~ide to the <br /> approved project." <br /> <br />Section 2: Section 17.36.180 (A) of the Pleasanton Municipal <br /> Code is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "A. The maximum number of growth management approvals <br /> for any given year shall be for six hundred fifty <br /> (650) units. In addition, up to one hundred (100) <br /> residential units may be approved for lower income <br /> housing projects, provided the project or projects <br /> meet the criteria for eligibility described in <br /> Section 17.36.185. <br /> <br /> Section 3: The Pleasanton Municipal Code is further amended <br /> to add a new Section 17.36.185 to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "17.36,185 Lower Income Housing Project <br /> <br /> A lower income housing project for purposes of <br /> Section 17.36.180(A) shall be a project having a minimum <br /> of twenty-five percent (25%) of the total units reserved <br /> for households qualifying for low income housing <br /> assistance as defined for the Primary Metropolitan <br /> Statistical Area, including Alameda County, by the <br /> Department of Housing and Urban Development.
