Chapter 11.38 <br /> <br /> Residential Permit Parking Zone <br /> <br /> Section 11.38,010. Definitions. For the purposes of <br />this Chapter the following words and phrases shall have the <br />meanings respectively ascribed to them: <br /> <br /> A. "Director" means the Director of Finance. <br /> <br /> B. "Vehicle" means an automobile, truck, trailer, <br /> house car, motorcycle, or other motor driven device <br /> for transportation, not in excess of six thousand <br /> (6,000) pounds gross weight. <br /> <br /> C. "Owner" means a person who has an ownership <br /> interest in a parcel of real property within a <br /> Residential Permit Parking Zone designated pursuant <br /> to this Chapter 11.38. <br /> <br /> D. "Resident" is a person who lives in a Residential <br /> Permit Parking Zone as his/her permanent place of <br /> residence, either as a tenant or owner. <br /> <br /> E. "Residential Parking Permit" means a permit issued <br /> pursuant to Chapter 11.38 hereof. <br /> <br /> F. "Residential Permit Parking Zone" means a <br /> residential zone designated as provided in this <br /> chapter wherein vehicles displaying a valid permit <br /> issued pursuant to this chapter shall be exempt <br /> from the parking time restrictions established in <br /> Chapter 11.38. <br /> <br /> Section 11.38,020 - Issuance of Permits. Residential <br />Parking Permits shall be issued by the Director of Finance. <br />Parking permits may be issued to an owner or resident of <br />a property within a Residential Parking Permit Zone or to a <br />guest of such an owner or resident duly authorized by the <br />owner or resident to apply for a Residential Parking Permit, <br />provided, that a Residential Parking Permit shall only be <br />issued to an owner or resident, who has a motor vehicle <br />currently registered in his or her name, or who has lawful <br />possession of a motor vehicle for his or her exclusive use <br />and/or which is under his or her control and to individuals <br />providing in home medical care to a residnt of a zone <br />provided that the in home provider shows proof, in the form <br />of a contract or other agreement, of the service being <br />provided. Not more than one Residential Parking Permit shall <br />be issued for any motor vehicle. The City Manager may <br />establish rules and regulations necessary or appropriate to <br />carry out the purpose of this chapter.
