Resolution No. 02-030 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council held a noticed public hearing on February 5, 2002, to consider the <br />Project, as well as examine the CEQA Findings of Significant Environmental <br />Impact, the Statement of Overriding Considerations, and the MMRP; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton has carefully reviewed and considered <br />all of the information presented at the public hearings and by staff with regard to <br />the Project, and finds that the enviromnental review has identified all significant <br />environmental effects; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Pleasanton has balanced the benefits of the Project against its <br /> unavoidable environmental risks as set forth in the final EIR. <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />Section 2: <br />Section 3: <br />Section 4: <br /> <br />Adopts the attached CEQA Findings of Significant Environmental Impact and the <br />Statement of Overriding Considerations (Exhibit A) prepared for the Downtown <br />Specific Plan. <br /> <br />Finds that the proposed Downtown Specific Plan as amended by the attached <br />Exhibit B is consistent with the General Plan. <br /> <br />Approves the Downtown Specific Plan, dated August 2001, as amended by the <br />attached Exhibit B. <br /> <br />Approves the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plan, as set forth in the <br />attached Exhibit C. <br /> <br />Section 5: This resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and adoption. <br /> <br /> <br />
