17. <br /> <br />Modify the definition of the term "Office Use" on the last paragraph of <br />page 21 of the Specific Plan to read: <br /> <br />"Office Use - Professional, administrative, and business office <br />uses consistent with the permitted and conditional uses allowed in <br />the "Office ' Zoning District. and above-ground-/loor multi-fami!y <br />housing." <br /> <br />18. Add the following policy to the Land Use Chapter: <br /> <br />"Public access through the property located at 325 Ray Street to <br />the Arroyo del Valle is strongly encouraged Future development <br />of this site should be carefully destgned to sensitively mitigate <br />potential impacts on adjacent properties." <br /> <br />19. Add the following policy to the Land Use Chapter: <br /> <br />20. <br /> <br />"Construct public restrooms (including one with family facilities) <br />on Main Street and at Delucchi Park." <br /> <br />Delete Policy 8 on page 35 or the Downtown Specific Plan and replace it with <br />the following: <br /> <br />"Support the concept qf realigning Main Street at Bernal Avenue <br />and First Street/Sunol Boulevard Final approval qf this concept <br />would be dependent on a satisfacto~, traf[ic plan and an attractive <br />design for this intersection to serve as an inviting gateway into <br />Downtown. A major goal would be to avoid taking private <br />property for the intersection realignment. ' <br /> <br />21. Modify the last paragraph on page 55 to read: <br /> <br />"The City does not support the Historic Niles Canyon Railway <br />coming into the Downtown Specific Plan Area on the Alameda <br />County Transportation Corridor. It does, however, support the <br />train coming south of dunipero Street or to the ACE Train station. <br />subject to the resolution of stgn!ficant environmental impacts. <br />Elsewhere in this Specific Plan, it is recommended that the City <br />Pleasanton acquire the Alameda Count).: Transportation Corridor <br />between Bernal Avenue and Stanle. v Boulevard for use as parl~'. <br />trails, and parking.
