2.34.050 Meetings. <br /> <br /> A. Regular meetings shall be held at least quarterly with <br />time, place, and date set by the commission. <br /> <br /> B. Special meetings may be called by: the commission chair; <br />any two members of the commission; the city council and the city <br />manager, provided written notice is given 48 hours in advance of <br />each special meeting to the following: each commission member, <br />all local newspapers of general circulation. Notice of meetings <br />in all other respects shall comply with Section 54950.5 et seq. <br />of the Government Code, known commonly as the Ralph M. Brown Act. <br /> <br /> C. A majority of the regular members shall constitute a <br />quorum. Absence from three consecutive meetings, without formal <br />consent of the commission, shall be deemed to constitute the <br />retirement of such member and the position declared vacant. <br /> <br /> D. Minutes of the commission shall be filed with the city <br />council, city clerk, Pleasanton library, and Alameda county <br />library. <br /> <br />2.34.060 Duties and Responsibilities. <br /> <br /> The duties of the Pleasanton Library Commission shall be as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> A. Study, report, and make recommendations to the Pleasanton <br />library staff, the Pleasanton city council, and/or the Alameda <br />County Library Advisory Commission on matters relating to library <br />service in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> B. Advise the Librarian and Pleasanton city council on the <br />development and construction of library facilities in Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> C. Study, evaluate and make recommendations to the city <br />council on the City's financial support of library services, <br />including, but not limited to, the funding of additional hours of <br />service. <br /> <br />III <br /> <br /> <br />
