Ordinance No. 1432 <br />Page 5 <br /> <br /> are not located in Hazard Areas, where it may <br /> may as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Class C rated roof coverings may be used on <br /> building~ of Group R, Division 3 or Group M <br /> Occupancies with the exception of storage sheds <br /> less than 500 square feet. <br /> 2. Class C rated roof covering may be used on <br /> buildings of Group R, Division 1 Occupancies <br /> which are not more than two stories in height <br /> and have not more than 3,000 square feet of <br /> projected roof area, and there is a minimum of <br /> 10 feet from the extremity of the roof to the <br /> property line on all sides except for street <br /> fronts. <br /> <br /> 3 ...... The requirements of this subsection (b) <br /> apply to all new construction and to any <br /> re-roofing which requires a building permit but <br /> shall only apply to the portion of the roof <br /> which is being re-roofed. <br /> <br /> 5. A Hazard Area shall be defined as those <br /> areas beyond five (5) minutes driving time of <br /> fire apparatus from the fire station serving <br /> that particular district or areas determined by <br /> the Chief to be either high hazard areas or <br /> extreme hazards areas based on steepness of <br /> slope and/or fuel loadings from combustible <br /> plant materials as set forth in the Safety <br /> Element of the General Plan. <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Clerk is directed to mail a copy of this <br /> ordinance to the Department of Housing and Community <br /> Development within thirty (30) days of its adoption as <br /> required by Health and Safety Code Section 17958.7. <br /> <br />Section 3: This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption in "The Tri-Valley Herald," <br /> a newspaper of general circulation published in the City <br /> of Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Section 4: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days <br /> after the date of its final passage and adoption. <br /> <br />INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of <br />Pleasanton on October 3, 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />
