PLANNiNG COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. PC-2001-57 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING APPROVAL OF THE APPLICATION OF BAY <br />AREA SELF-STORAGE FOR REZONING AND DEVELOPMENT PLAN <br />APPROVAL, AS FILED UNDER CASE PUD-15 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />Bay Area Self-storage/Cubix Construction has applied for PUD rezoning and <br />development plan approval to allow the construction of a 139,928-square-foot self- <br />storage facility located at 3100 Valley Avenue; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - I (Industrial) District; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />at its duly noticed public hearing of November 28, 2001, the Planning <br />Commission considered all public testimony, relevant exhibits, and <br />recommendations of the City staff concerning this application; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the planning Commission recommended approval of the Negative Declaration <br /> prepared for this project; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission made the following PUD findings: <br /> <br />The proposed development plan is in the best interests of the public health, <br />safety, and general welfare. <br /> <br />The proposed development plan is designed in conformance with the Pleasanton <br />General Plan designations for this site. The proposed buildings have been <br />designed to meet all applicable City standards concerning public health, safety, <br />and welfare, e.g., vehicle access, flood hazards, and building codes. Full public <br />street infrastructure including public streets and utilities are present to serve the <br />proposed development on this site. <br /> <br />The proposed development plan is consistent with the Pleasanton General <br />Plan. <br /> <br />The proposed project is consistent with the City's General Plan designation of <br />"General and Limited Industrial" for the site. For warehouse-type uses having <br /> <br /> <br />
