CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 02-024 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CALLING AND GIVING NOTICE OF THE <br />HOLDING OF AN ALL MAIL BALLOT SPECIAL HAPPY <br />VALLEY ANNEXATION ELECTION ON APRIL 17, 2002 <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> <br />the City Council of the City of Pleasanton desires to submit to the voters in the <br />Happy Valley area at a Special All Mail Election a proposed measure relating to <br />the annexation of the area to the City of Pleasanton; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City Council is authorized and directed by statute to submit the proposed <br /> measure to the voters; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: <br /> <br />That there is called and ordered to be held in the City of Pleasanton, on <br />Wednesday, April 17, 2002, a Special Happy Valley Annexation Election <br />conducted by all mail ballot for the purpose of submitting the following proposed <br />measure: <br /> <br /> "Shall the order adopted on July 29, 1999, by the City Council of the City <br />of Pleasanton ordering the annexation to the City of Pleasanton of the territory <br />described in that order and designated as Happy Valley annexation be confirmed?" <br /> <br />Yes <br /> <br />No <br /> <br />Section 2: <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />That the ballots to be used at the election shall be in form and content as required <br />by law. <br /> <br />That the City Clerk is authorized, instructed and directed to procure and furnish <br />any and all official ballots, notices, printed matter and all supplies, equipment and <br />paraphernalia that may be necessary in order to properly and lawfully conduct the <br />election by all mail ballot. <br /> <br /> <br />
