Lighting and Landscape District 1994 -1, Oak Tree Farm Maintenance in this District includes the open space areas, entry features, firebreaks, trees, shrubbery, groundcover and irrigation systems. The assessment for the coming year for District 1994 -1 (Oak Tree Farm) will remain at $473.66 per parcel per year. With a total of 42 parcels in the District (one of these is a city -owned parcel, a sewer lift station), this year's total assessment will be $19,885.81. This amount will be sufficient to fund the maintenance of all common areas including water and electrical costs, County assessment fees, City administration fees and sets aside in a replacement fund sufficient reserves for the long -term replacement of plantings, irrigation systems, fencing, entry signage and other District improvements. The City bid the District maintenance project in October 2007, and received five (5) bids. The low responsive bidder was Vista Grande Landscape Management of Livermore, with a bid of $6,900 for the annual maintenance of the District. To date, the contractor has performed all of the specified maintenance work in a satisfactory manner. The City has chosen to extend the contract for an additional year as provided under their contract. Therefore, the contract amount was increased when it was renewed in December 2008 by a construction inflation factor of 5.4 bringing the annual total to $7,273.
