PLANNING COMMISSION CITY OF PLEASANTON COUNTY OF ALAMEDA STATE OF CALIFORNIA RESOLUTION NO. 2356 A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A USE PERMIT FOR VALLEY MEMORIAL HOSPITAL AS FILED UNDER CASE UP -83 -31 WHEREAS, Valley Memorial Hospital and the Hospital Committee have applied for conditional use permit approval to operate an approximately 114 bed, 102,000 sq. ft., two story hospital and a 44,600 sq. ft. three story medical office building and related facilities on an approximately 21 acre site at the northwest corner of West Las Positas Boulevard and Santa Rita Road; and WHEREAS, zoning for the property is "P" (Public and Institutional) District; and WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of September 28, 1983 the Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant documents and recommendations of the City Staff concerning this proposal; and WHEREAS, at its duly noticed public hearing of September 28, 1983 the Design Review Board approved a mitigated negative declaration covering both the design and use of this facility; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has found that a) the proposed location of the conditional use is in accord with the objectives of this chapter and the purposes of the district in which the site is located; b) that the proposed location of the conditional use and the conditions under which it would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental to the public health, safety, or welfare, or materially injurious to the properties or improvements in the vicinity; and c) that the proposed conditional use will comply with each of the applicable provisions of the ordinance code. NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING: Section 1. Approves case UP -83 -31 as herein described subject to the following conditions: 1. That this use permit is granted for an approximately 114 bed acute hospital, a three story medical office building and related facilities on the approximately 19 acre parcel located at the northwest corner of West Las Positas Boulevard and Santa Rita Road. It is understood in the future, that Valley Memorial Hospital may apply to expand the size of the hospital.
