PLANNING COMMISSION
CITY OF PLEASANTON
COUNTY OF ALAMEDA
STATE OF CALIFORNIA
RESOLUTION NO. 2341
A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY
OF PLEASANTON APPROVING PUD- DEVELOPMENT PLANS FOR
GUS ENTERPRISES AND PRUDENTIAL INSURANCE COMPANY AS
FILED UNDER CASE PUD -83 -13
WHEREAS, GUS Enterprises and Prudential Insurance Company have
applied for PUD (Planned Unit Development) development
plan approval of an approximately 105,998 sq. ft. hotel
and related facilities including a 468 seat restaurant
on an approximately seven acre site located at the
northeast corner of Hopyard Road and Gibraltar Drive; and
WHEREAS, zoning for the property is PrD (Planned Unit Development)
C -F (Commercial Freeway) District; and
WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of July 27, 1983,
the Planning Commission considered all public testimony,
pertinent documents and recommendations made by the
City staff.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON
RESOLVES THE FOLLOWING:
Section 1. Based upon the Initial Study, the Planning Commission
finds, pursuant to Section 15068 of the State CEQA
Guidelines, that the cumulative environmental effects of
this project are similar in nature to those discussed in
the Hacienda Business Park PUD EIR and that the Hacienda
Business Park PUD EIR adequately covers the environmental
impacts of this project.
Section 2. To the extent that there were any potentially significant
environmental effects of this discrete project, the conditions
of approval and measures undertaken since the completion
of the Hacienda Business Park PUD EIR have reduced such
impacts to insignificant levels.
Section 3. With respect to the cumulative effects of continuing
building by building development, the Planning Commission
finds that prior to the development of the entire area discussed
in the Hacienda Business Park PUD EIR, an amendment to
the Growth Management Element of the General Plan would
have to be approved by the City.
Section 4. With respect to the cumulative effects of continuing
building by building development the Planning Commission
further finds that potentially significant environmental
effects either (1) have been mitigated by project conditions
of approval or modifications made to the project during the
review process, (2) require mitigation by another public agency
having jurisdiction, or (3) cannot be mitigated except by
mitigation measures or alternatives found to be infeasible
