PLANNING COMMISSION <br />CITY OF PLEASANTON <br />COUNTY OF ALAMEDA <br />STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2340 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br />OF PLEASANTON APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR <br />WILLIAM SKINNER AND EARL ADAMS AS FILED UNDER CASE <br />UP -83 -20 <br />WHEREAS, William Skinner and Earl Adams have applied for a conditional use <br />permit to develop and operate a contractor's storage facility at <br />3654 Old Santa Rita Road incorporating existing proposed <br />improvements to the site; and <br />WHEREAS, zoning for the property is C -S (Commercial Service) District; and <br />WHEREAS, at their duly noticed public hearing of July 27, 1983 the <br />Planning Commission considered all public testimony, relevant <br />exhibits and recommendations of the City staff; and <br />WHEREAS, this proposal is exempt from the requirements of CEQA; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that the proposed location of the <br />conditional use is in accord with the objectives of the zoning ordinance <br />and the purposes of the district in which the site is located; and <br />WHEREAS, that the proposed location of the conditional use and the conditions <br />under which it would be operated or maintained will not be detrimental <br />to the public health, safety or welfare or be materially injurious <br />to properties or improvements in the vicinity; and <br />WHEREAS, the Planning Commission found that the proposed conditional use will <br />comply with each of the applicable provisions governing conditional <br />use. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON RESOLVES THE <br />FOLLOWING: <br />Section 1. Approves the application of William Skinner and Earl Adams as <br />herein described and filed under case UP -83 -20 subject to the following <br />conditions: <br />1. That the development be substantially as shown on the site plans <br />and elevations, Exhibit A, on file with the Planning Division <br />except that parking in front of the building and fenced area <br />shall be modified to approximately 6 parallel spaces, all meeting <br />City Code. <br />2. That case UP -83 -20 is granted for a period of three years only, at <br />which time it will be necessary for the applicants to reapply for <br />a new use permit if they wish to continue the use of the site as <br />a contractor's storage yard beyond this point. <br />
