2- 6.33,11 Inapplicability of Conflicting Provisions. <br />This article is designed as the sole set of regulations <br />for the design, construction and maintenance of secondary <br />dwelling units for rental purposes on residential lots <br />notwithstanding any other provision of this code. <br />Section 2, Sections 2 -6.14, Article 5 (R -1 One Family Residential <br />Districts) and 2 -6.25, Article 6 (RM Multi family Residential <br />Districts) of Chapter 2, Title II of the Ordinance Code of the <br />City of Pleasanton are amended to add "secondary units for <br />rental purposes as regulated by Article 6,5 of this chapter" <br />as conditional use in the R -1 and RM Districts, <br />Section 3. Notwithstanding any other provision of this code <br />to the contrary this ordinance shall regulate the <br />approval and placement of secondary dwelling units for <br />rental purposes on single family lots. <br />Section 4. If any word, clause, phrase, sentence, section or <br />portion thereof of this ordinance is deemed invalid <br />on any grounds by a court of competent jurisdiction, <br />the City Council declares that its intent is to adopt <br />and enforce the remaining provisions of this ordinance <br />in spite of any such invalidity. <br />Section 5. This ordinance shall be published once within fifteen <br />(15) days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," <br />a newspaper of general circulation published in the City <br />of Pleasanton. <br />Section 6.
