Ordinance No. 1448 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />Section 3: Chapter 20.40 (Swimming Pools) of the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> "20.40.135 Noise Attenuation and Enclosures- <br /> <br /> A. Pool equipment shall be operated in compliance <br /> with noise limits established under Title 9 of <br /> the code of the city. <br /> <br /> B. Pool equipment shall be field tested under <br /> operating conditions by the administrative <br /> authority for noise limit compliance prior to <br /> final approval of pool installation. Testing <br /> shall be by instrument as provided for under <br /> Title 9 of this code of the city. <br /> <br /> C. Where pool equipment noise limit compliance is <br /> not achieved, said equipment shall be <br /> relocated, otherwise adjusted/altered, or an <br /> enclosure for noise attenuation installed to <br /> achieve compliance prior to final approval of <br /> pool installation by the administrative <br /> authority. <br /> <br /> D. Noise attenuation enclosures shall be designed <br /> and constructed utilizing standards <br /> established by the administrative authority. <br /> Such standards shall include, but shall not be <br /> limited to, insulation material, requirements <br /> for venting and circulation, and accessibility <br /> for equipment maintenance-" <br /> <br /> Section 4: This ordinance shall be published once within <br /> fifteen (15) days after its adoption in the "Tri- <br /> Valley Herald," a newspaper of general circulation <br /> published in the City of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> section 5: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) <br /> days after the date of its final passage and <br /> adoption. <br /> <br /> INTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the <br /> City of Pleasanton on January 2, 1990. <br /> <br /> <br />
