CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1448 <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 20.40 (SWIMMING POOLS), <br /> TITLE 20 (BUILDINGS AND CONSTRUCTION) OF THE <br /> MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE CITY OF PT~ASANTON <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Section 20.40,130 (Location), Subsection A of the <br /> Pleasanton Municipal Code is hereby repealed in its <br /> entirety and is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "A. Poolwater line shall not be placed closer than <br /> five feet to any property line except that <br /> poolwater line for cord-connected, above- <br /> ground (portable) spas shall not be placed <br /> closer than three feet to any property line." <br /> <br />Section 2: Section 20.40,130 (Location) of the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code is hereby further amended to read as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> "D. Pool equipment may be located within the <br /> boundaries of the site in which the pool is <br /> located without regard to setback except that <br /> equipment shall not be located within required <br /> front yards nor within the required side yard <br /> of the street side of a corner lot unless said <br /> equipment is located on the interior side of a <br /> fence as allowed in conformance with Title 18 <br /> of this code of the city. Where pool <br /> equipment is located within a required side <br /> yard adjacen~ ~o a main s~ructure, a minimum <br /> three-foot clearance shall be maintained <br /> between said equipment installation and the <br /> corresponding side property line." <br /> <br /> <br />
