The plan is in the best interests of the
public health, safety, and general welfare.

The EIR for the project has analyzed in detail the
potential hazards and effects of constructing 50
homes on the.subject property. While there are a
number of issues associated with the project, the
EIR has proposed mitigation measures which would
reduce the impacts to an acceptable or
insignificant level. Additionally, the development
would be located on the least sensitive portions of
the site, and a substantial amount of open space
will remain. The decision to designate the site as
Low Density Residential/Rural Density
Residential/Open Space has already been made, and
the project is consistent with this designation.

2.
