Police Department Requirements: <br /> <br />71. <br /> <br />If required by the Police Department, the building(s) shall be equipped with an alarm system, the <br />type to be approved by the Police Department and that this system shall be installed prior to oc- <br />cupancy of the building. <br /> <br />72. <br /> <br />The project developer shall allow the installation of the Pleasanton Police Department/Alameda <br />County emergency response bi-directional amplifier antennas to be located on the roof of one or <br />more of the approved buildings. <br /> <br />73. <br /> <br />Unless otherwise approved by the Chief of Police, all access restricting gates installed for this <br />development shall be equipped with a remote control mechanism to permit emergency activation <br />from the communications console at the Police Department. This shall consist of direct connec- <br />tion hardware, radio control, or other mechanism approved by the Police Department. All access <br />gates shall be identified on the plans submitted for issuance of building permits and the type of <br />remote control mechanism shall be identified. <br /> <br />Fire Department Requirements: <br /> <br />74. <br /> <br />The building(s) covered by this approval shall be equipped with an automatic fire sprinkler sys- <br />tem. Plans and specifications for the automatic fire sprinkler system shall be submitted to the <br />Pleasanton Building Department for review and approval prior to installation. The fire alarm <br />system, including waterflow and valve supervision, shall have plans and specifications submitted <br />to Fire Prevention for review and approval prior to installation. All required inspections and <br />witnessing of tests shall be completed prior to final inspection and occupancy of the building(s). <br />The fire alarm system shall be monitored in accordance with the Pleasanton Municipal Ordi- <br />nance #1806. The fire alarm system shall transmit zone information to a UL listed Central Sta- <br />tion-Service as specified in the Ordinance. <br /> <br />75. <br /> <br />The project developer shall keep the site free of fire hazards from the start of lumber construction <br />until the final inspection. Combustible waste material(s) shall not accumulate on the site. <br /> <br />76. <br /> <br />Prior to any construction framing, the project developer shall provide adequate fire protection <br />facilities, including, but not limited to surface roads, fire hydrants, and a water supply and fire <br />flow in conformance to the City's Fire Department Standards able to suppress a major fire. <br />When alternate methods of fire protection are approved by the Fire Chief, this requirement may <br />be waived or modified. Proposed alternative methods of fire protection shall be submitted in <br />writing to the Fire Chief prior to any framing construction or construction above the slab. Work <br />on the alternative fire protection methods shall not begin until approved by the Fire Chief. <br /> <br />77. <br /> <br />The Fire Chief and the City Engineer shall approve the number, type, and location of all public <br />fire hydrants.
