Ordinance No. 1844 <br />Page Two <br /> <br />Section 3: <br /> <br />On a street or public or private property, when parking in that location has <br />been designated by the City Traffic Engineer for emergency vehicles and a <br />sign is posted restricting parking to such vehicles. As used in this <br />paragraph, emergency vehicles mean Police and Fire vehicles and other <br />City vehicles when responding to an emergency." <br /> <br />The title of Chapter 11.40 and Section 11.40.010 of the Pleasanton Municipal <br />Code are hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />"Chapter 11.40 Removal of Vehicles from Public and Private Property <br /> <br />11.40.010 <br />property. <br /> <br />When vehicles may be removed from public and private <br /> <br />Any regularly employed officer of the Police Department of the City may remove <br />or cause to be removed: <br /> <br />mo <br /> <br />Any vehicle that has been parked upon a street or highway for seventy-two <br />(72) or more consecutive hours. <br />Any vehicle which is parked upon a street or highway between the hours of <br />seven o'clock (7:00) A.M. and twelve o'clock (12:00) midnight when such <br />parking is prohibited by ordinance or resolution of the City and signs are <br />posted giving notice of such removal pursuant to resolution. <br />Any vehicle which is parked upon a street or highway where the use of such <br />street or highway or a portion thereof is necessary for the cleaning, repair or <br />construction of the street or highway or for the installation of underground <br />utilities or where the use of the street or highway or any portion thereof is <br />authorized for a purpose other than the normal flow of traffic or where the <br />use of the street or highway or any portion thereof is necessary for the <br />movement of equipment, articles or structures of unusual size, and the <br />parking of such vehicle would prohibit or interfere with such use or <br />movement; provided that signs giving notice that such vehicle may be <br />removed are erected or placed at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the <br />removal. <br />Any vehicle found or operated in violation of Sections 22651 (o), 22651 (p), <br />or 14602.6 of the Vehicle Code. <br />Any vehicle found or operated in violation of Chapter 11.36." <br /> <br /> <br />
