Ordinance No. 1492 <br />Page Four <br /> <br /> "Section 18.96,100 Temporary signs adjacent to <br /> freeways <br /> <br /> All temporary signs, except for temporary subdivision <br /> signs as defined in Section 18.96.090 of this chapter <br /> and except for all signs pertaining to the sale, lease, <br /> rental or display of a structure or land, over twelve <br /> square feet in size within 1000 feet of the right-of- <br /> way of any freeway shall be subject to the review and <br /> approval of the design review board. Such sign shall <br /> not exceed one hundred square feet in size or fourteen <br /> feet in height. These height and size restrictions need <br /> not apply to properties over one hundred acres in size. <br /> In conjunction with the approval of such signs, the <br /> design review board may require the applicant to enter <br /> into an agreement with the city to maintain the sign in <br /> an attractive manner throughout the duration of its <br /> existence. Such signs shall be maintained for a maximum <br /> period of one year after which time an extension may be <br /> approved by the zoning administrator upon reapplication <br /> or the signs shall be completely removed." <br /> <br /> Section 3: Section 4 (Part) of Ordinance No. 1162 and Section <br /> 18.96.150 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code are hereby <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 18.96.150 Design Review <br /> <br /> All signs over twenty-four square feet, all directly <br /> illuminated signs, and all signs projecting over public <br /> property, except signs pertaining to the sale, lease, <br /> rental or display of a structure or land, shall be <br /> subject to design review as prescribed in Chapter 18.20 <br /> of this title. Any other sign determined by the zoning <br /> administrator to be inconsistent with Sections <br /> 18.04.010 and 18.96.010 shall be subject to design <br /> review. Applicants are advised to confer with the <br /> zoning administrator before preparing detailed plans." <br /> <br /> Section 4: Section 1 (Part) of Ordinance No. 1225, as amended, <br /> and Section 18.74.130 of the pleasanton Municipal Coae <br /> are hereby further amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 18.74.130 Permitted Signs <br /> <br /> (Subsections A-C, no change.) <br /> <br /> <br />
