Ordinance No. 1508 <br /> <br /> D. "Customer" means a person, firm, partnership, <br /> association, corporation and all other institutions and <br /> businesses receiving water from the water distribution <br /> system of the City. <br /> <br /> E. "Director" means the Director of Public Works and <br /> Utilities of the City. <br /> <br /> F. "Floor" means the average summer water use during 1990 <br /> for each residential customer classification, as reduced <br /> by the percentage established in Stage II through Stage <br /> VI herein. For example, the average summer water use <br /> during 1990 for single family residential customers was <br /> 703 GPD; in Stage II, the average (703 GPD) would be <br /> reduced by 25% to yield a "floor" of 525 'GPD. <br /> <br /> G. "Excess Use" means the difference between a customer's <br /> actual consumption of water for the billing period and <br /> the customer's allocation. <br /> <br /> H. "GPD" means gallons per day. <br /> <br /> I. "S,,mmer" means the months of May through September, <br /> inclusive. <br /> <br /> 9.30.050. CREATION OF CLASSES <br /> <br /> The following classes of customers or uses are hereby created: <br /> <br /> A. "Sinqle family residential" consists of water service to <br /> land improved with structures designed ~.to serve as a <br /> residence for a single family. <br /> <br /> B. "MUltiple family residential-apartments" consists of <br /> water service to land improved with structures designed <br /> to serve as apartments. <br /> <br /> C. "MUltiple family residential-townhouses/condominiums" <br /> consists of water service to land improved with <br /> structures designed to serve as townhouses or <br /> condominiums. <br /> <br /> D. "Nonresidential" consists of water service to land <br /> improved with structures designed to serve water for <br /> other than residential uses. Commercial (including <br /> restaurants), recreational, charitable, educational and <br /> cultural uses are included in this class. <br /> <br /> 4 <br /> <br /> <br />
