Said Code is the Uniform Fire Code, 1991 Edition, including Appendix Chapter I-C, II-A, II-D, II-F, IV-B, and V-A, and the Uniform Fire Code Standards, published by the Western Fire Chiefs Association and the International Conference of Building Officials, three copies of which are on file with the city clerk for use by the public. 20.24.015 Deletions Article 88 shall be deleted from the adopted UniformFire Code. 20,24,020 Board of Appeals Section 2.303 of the adopted Uniform Fire Code is amended to read as follows: In order to determine the suitability of alternative material and type of construction and to provide for reasonable interpretations of the provisions of this code, there shall be and hereby is established a Board of Appeals, the members of which shall be the City Council of the City of Pleasanton. The City Manager shall act as Secretary to the Board. The City Manager shall call all meetings o~ the Board. 20.24,030 Section 10.507 - Automatic fire protection systems. Section 10.507(b) of the adopted Uniform Fire Code is amended to read as follows: Notwithstanding any other provision of the Pleasanton Municipal Code, including this Uniform Fire Code, installation of automatic fire protection systems shall be required as provided in Section 20.08,050 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code. 20.24.035 Restitution Section 2.111 is added to the Uniform Fire Code to read as follows: The fire department may seek restitution from an owner, operator, occupant or other person responsible for a property for the reasonable cost of suppressing a fire on that property which is a result of that person's violation of any federal, state, or local ordinance or statute. 8
