CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1573 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE ADDING CHAPTER 1.10 TO THE <br /> PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE TO ADOPT A REVISED <br /> CONFLICT OF INTEREST CODE FOR THE CITY <br /> COUNCIL, ITS BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS, AND <br /> DESIGNATED EMPLOYEES OF THECITYANDREPEALING <br /> SECTION 2.04.030 OF THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL <br /> CODE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Political Reform Act, Government Code § 81000, et <br /> seq., requires state and local government agencies to <br /> adopt and promulgate conflict of interest codes; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Fair Political Practices Commission has adopted a <br /> regulation, 2 Cal. Code of Regs. section 18730, which <br /> contains the terms of a model conflict of interest code; <br /> and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said code may be adopted by reference by a local <br /> government agency; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, if so adopted, said code may be amended from time to time <br /> by the Fair Political Practices Commission after public <br /> notice and hearings to conform to amendments in the <br /> Political Reform Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the regulations of the Fair Political <br /> Practices Commission, each local agency must review its <br /> conflict of interest code before October 1, 1992, to make <br /> sure it is in compliance with the regulations of the Fair <br /> Political Practices Act; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, at its meeting of July 7, 1992, Council received a staff <br /> report from the City Attorney (SR92:283) regarding a <br /> review and amendments to the City's Conflict of Interest <br /> Code; <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN AS <br />FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Chapter 1.10 is hereby added to the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code to read as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
