CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON <br /> <br /> ALAMEDA COUNTY, CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 1694 <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 18,116 OF <br /> THE PLEASANTON MUNICIPAL CODE <br /> (TEMPORARY USES) TO ALLOW OUTDOOR <br /> DISPLAY AND/OR SALES AS PART OF SPECIAL <br /> EVENTS FOR A HOTEL OR OFFICE BUILDING, AS <br /> FILED UNDER CASE RZ-96-03 <br /> <br />THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLEASANTON DOES HEREBY ORDAIN <br />AS FOLLOWS: <br /> <br />Section 1: Chapter 18.116 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "18.116.040 Outdoor Sales <br /> <br /> Temporary outdoor display and/or sale of merchandise or services meeting the <br /> following requirements shall be permitted upon the granting of a temporary <br /> conditional use permit in accordance with the provisions of Section 18.124.170 of <br /> this title: <br /> <br /> A. Except for hotel conventions as stipulated in Section 18.116.045 of this <br /> title, outdoor display and/or sale of merchandise shall be done as part of a <br /> business district or shopping center event or to benefit charitable or <br /> nonprofit organizations. No outdoor sales by businesses on an individual <br /> basis shall be allowed. <br /> <br /> (B through E - no change) <br /> <br /> 18.116.045 Outdoor Sales During Hotel Conventions <br /> <br /> Temporary outdoor display and/or sale of merchandise or services meeting the <br /> following requirements shall be permitted during hotel conventions upon the <br /> granting of a temporary conditional use permit in accordance with the provisions <br /> of Section 18.124.170 of this title: <br /> <br /> A. Outdoor display and/or sale of merchandise or services shall be allowed <br /> only as part of a hotel convention or conference. <br /> <br /> <br />
