Insurance agents who are exempt from the City's business license tax <br /> shall pay an assessment based on annual gross receipts as if their business <br /> were not exempt and the annual assessment shall be computed as in <br /> subsections A through C of this section. <br /> <br /> G. If several independent contractors are located at one business <br /> address an conducting a similar business service, the maximum charge of <br /> two hundred dollars may be charged to the owner of this business. <br /> Notwithstanding this option, each independent contractor shall obtain a <br /> business license. <br /> <br />Section 2: A summary of this ordinance shall be published once within fifteen (15) <br /> days after its adoption in "The Valley Times," a newspaper of general <br /> circulation published in the City of Pleasanton, and the complete ordinance <br /> shall be posted for fifteen (15) days in the City Clerk's office within fifteen <br /> (15) days after its adoption. <br /> <br />Section 3: This ordinance shall be effective thirty (30) days after the date of its final <br /> passage and adoption. <br /> <br />REINTRODUCED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on <br />September 10, 1996. <br /> <br />ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City Council of the City of Pleasanton on <br />October 15, 1996 by the following vote: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Michelotti, Mohr, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: Councilmember Pico ~ 5/~2.4,?r_~C7,~ <br /> ~ C.
