Upon the review <br /> of these considerations and the overall circumstances of the <br /> gift, the Commission shall make a recommendation to the City <br /> Council as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. Install the Public Art at a Commission recommended <br /> site; <br /> <br /> 2. Store the Public Art until more favorable <br /> conditions arise for its installation; or <br /> <br /> 3. Decline the Public Art." <br /> <br />Section 2: Chapter 2.39 is hereby added to the Pleasanton <br /> Municipal Code to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "'Chapter 2,39 <br /> Civic Arts Commission <br /> <br />2.39.010 Civic Arts Commission Established <br /> The Civic Arts Commission is hereby established. <br />2.39.020 Membership; Compensation <br /> <br /> A. The Civic Arts Commission shall be comprised of five <br /> members and an alternate. One member shall be a member <br /> of the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Council. At least two <br /> members shall be working artists. Working artists shall <br /> be defined as those persons who have enjoyed success in <br /> the exhibition of their works and enjoy the professional <br /> respect of their peers, or are engaged as instructors of <br /> art, or have been engaged as art museum directors, <br /> gallery curators or docents, or arts consultants. All <br /> members shall be residents of the City and shall be <br /> committed to furthering public art and the cultural life <br /> of the community. <br /> <br /> B. Members shall be compensated as established by City <br /> Council resolution. <br /> <br />2.39.030 Appointment <br /> <br /> Members shall be appointed to the Commission in <br /> accordance with the adopted City resolution establishing <br /> procedures for appointments to City Boards and <br /> Commissions. <br /> <br />2.39.040 Meetinqs <br /> <br /> <br />
