Footings and foundations shall be <br /> constructed of masonry, concrete or treated <br /> wood in conformance with Division II and shall <br /> extend below the frost line. Footings of <br /> concrete and masonry shall be of solid <br /> material. Foundations supporting wood shall <br /> extend at least 6 inches (152mm) above the <br /> adjacent finish grade. Footings shall have a <br /> minimum depth as indicated in Table 18-I-D <br /> unless another depth is recommended by a <br /> foundation investigation. A minimum of one top <br /> and one bottom continuous bars of 1/2" <br /> diameter reinforcing steel shall be required <br /> in all continuous concrete or masonry bearing <br /> foundations. <br /> <br /> 20.08.055 Section 1924 amended - Minimum Slab <br /> Thickness. <br /> <br /> Section 1924 of the Uniform Building Code is <br /> amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Minimum slab thickness. The minimum thickness <br /> of concrete floor slabs supported directly on <br /> the ground shall not be less than 3 1/2 inches <br /> (89mm). The slab shall be reinforced with not <br /> less than six inches by six inches ten gauge <br /> welded wire mesh or an approved alternate <br /> installed at mid height of the slab. <br /> <br /> 20.08.057 Section 2326.11.3 amended - Portland <br /> cement plaster on studs. <br /> <br /> Section 2326.11.3, Item 7, of the Uniform <br /> Building Code is amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> Portland cement plaster on studs spaced 16 <br /> inches on center installed in accordance with <br /> Table No. 47-I. (Limited to single story Group <br /> R-3 and M-1 occupancies). <br /> <br /> <br />
